How long will the orange cones on the corners be there? On one corner one has been flattened. A resident's car was backed into last week. The front of the car was scratched and dented. Also the license plate is missing. Any info would be helpful.

This Weeks White Street Resident Spotlight shines on Mr. Hannah, or James as Mrs. Hannah would affectionately refer to him. James was born in Northville, NY on April 5, 1923 to Ruth Wilson and James Hannah Sr. James served under George S. Patton in WWII and saw action in North Africa and Sicily. After the war James became an excellent pistol shot through his training in the Army and represented the U.S. at the 1948 Olympics in London, earning a Bronze Medal in the intermediate range pistol competition. Upon return to the U.S. he met and married Patricia Ford, they settled in Waltham, NY. James took a job with the military contractor Raytheon building radar components. In 1955 James was building magnetrons for radars when he discovered the technology that led to the first microwave oven. In the early 1960's James moved his family, which now stood at four with his 2 daughters, to Saratoga Springs and settled on White Street. Not ready to retire James opened a market, which evolved into the Hannaford Corporation. Today at 84 James frequently is requested as a guest speaker for various organizations and functions. A Saratogian, a veteran, but above all he lived on White Street.....
