Fruitless Protest Over

Cindy Sheehan has given up her anti-war protest. She claims her son died for nothing. Any thoughts?

About time she stopped dishonoring her son's memory. All men and women who join the military has it made crystal clear to them that may go to war. They take an oath to defend the country against all enemies foreign and domestic. It is not a G.I.'s decision who those enemies are. They point you shoot, it's that simple. The man did not die for nothing. He died in defense of those men who he trained with, sweated with, lived with, and bled with. When you are in a unit it's not about politics, it's about the man next to you. Ask the men he served with I guarentee they will not utter a bad word about him. You ask them if they think he died for nothing. That woman was manipulated by weak willed wimps while she was in a state of grief, and it ruined her life. I sum it up with a line from "A Marines Life"

-we fight in far off lands with desserts and more
we fight for pride and freedom and for our corps
we don’t ask for great pay or a half decent meals
there is no way a protester can describe how we feel-
